iPhone Users Can Now Use Affirm for Easy Payments with Apple Pay

Consumers with iPhones running the latest iOS 18 can now take advantage of Affirm Inc.’s buy now, pay later (BNPL) service when shopping at any merchant that accepts Apple Pay. This new feature was introduced as part of the iOS 18 update and is also available on iPadOS 18. Unlike Apple’s previous BNPL service, Apple Pay Later, which was discontinued in June, Affirm does not require merchants to have a direct integration, making it accessible to a wider range of retailers. To utilize this service, shoppers can select Affirm as a payment option during checkout, fill out a form, and receive a real-time credit decision. If approved, they can choose from various repayment plans ranging from six weeks to 24 months. This partnership aims to combine the convenience of Apple Pay with the flexibility of Affirm, which has seen significant growth, including a 48% revenue increase in its latest fiscal quarter.
