A study by PYMNTS Intelligence, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, shows that while most consumers are satisfied with their buy now, pay later (BNPL) experiences, Gen Z users are less impressed, with only 56% reporting high satisfaction. This is noteworthy as Gen Z is a crucial market segment for BNPL services. The research indicates that Gen Z primarily uses BNPL for smaller, practical purchases such as clothing and food, contrasting with older generations who use it for larger items. If BNPL options are not available, 27% of Gen Z would rather not make the purchase, highlighting the importance of BNPL services for their consumption habits.
