The survey, which included 1,000 American credit card owners, found that 57% prefer to get credit cards from their existing banks, and 44% recently chose cash-back credit cards. For 33% of respondents, the main reason for acquiring a new card was to earn rewards on daily expenses. Welcome bonuses attract applicants, but high bonus amounts and low spending requirements are key. Credit scores play a crucial role in approval rates and credit limits. The survey also suggests that responsible credit card use, particularly with cards that offer rewards for regular spending categories, can lead to significant savings.
