Over the past year, 60% of brokers reported an increase in specialist mortgage cases, with 17% noting that more than half of their business now involves specialist lenders. The research highlights that 72% of brokers see the specialist market as a growing opportunity, particularly for clients with adverse credit histories, as 81% of brokers are encountering more customers with financial challenges. The report emphasizes the need for collaboration and education among lenders and brokers to capitalize on these emerging opportunities.
